BLACKS “DUMB GOODNESS” & POLITICO-RELIGIOUS ABSOLUTISMS: Judgments using the term “GOOD” without qualification merely conceal the fact that the term “good” always means “good for the following.” The attribution of “GOOD”, “BAD” or “EVIL” to human attitudes, thoughts and behaviors, “fits someone’s purposes, even though the judgment itself does not make reference to these purposes.” These types of attributions lie at the heart of the Black Church theology and ideology and at the center of the political ideology operationally accepted by the African American community, its Black Church and secular leadership. Both the theologies and ideologies imposed on them by the White American Church and political communities are designed to serve as the mental means by which whites (and other non-African groups) manipulate and exploit blacks. Black preachers as ARDENT advocates of racially biased theologies and political ideologies becomes the unwitting allies and mercenary surrogates for the domination and exploitation of the African community by whites and other outsiders whose theologies and ideologies they uncritically adopt. For little do these ministerial leaders seem to know that the term “good” as used by whites and other outsiders functions “as a means of affirming their own self-evaluation”, “grows out of [their own] triumphant self-affirmation”; equates “good/noble/power/beautiful/happy/favored-of-the-gods” in reference to themselves; and posits the characteristics of their own group is “worthy of emulation” – Dr Amos Wilson
