BREAKING NEWS: Apparently, the Evans High School administration doesnt believe in their students, especially the athletes. For the past week, KJAE-FM 93.5 has been advertising the fact they were going to broadcast the Elizabeth at Evans softball game, which is set 5 p.m. this evening. They had sold advertising and rounded up numerous sponsors for the contest. However, the EHS administration, namely principal Ulita Watson, decided that the broadcast wouldnt happen because they didnt want their team embarrassed because they were going to get beat. The administration even went as far as to suggest that the radio come broadcast their game with Hornbeck because they had a better chance to win. What great confidence this administration has in its students! First, they keep the girls basketball team out of the playoffs because they were just going to get beat anyway. Second, they attempted to keep the boys basketball team out of the playoffs by claiming there was no money for travel. Now, they dont want these girls to be broadcast on the radio because they might get beat. Personally, we at the Sportsline believe that something must be done about this administration out at Evans. Why should people who dont believe in these students be in charge of this school? What do you think? Comment here...
