BREAKING NEWS: Curfew lifted in Pattaya. It was announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Curfew in three popular tourist destinations in Thailand, one of which being Pattaya, has been lifted. The announcement was made by the National Council for Peace and Order who had received complaints from those involved in the Tourism Industry, including Tour Operators and Late Night Entertainment venues who had suffered greatly since the curfew had been imposed following the recent Coup. The curfew has been lifted in Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui and many entertainment venues have already confirmed they will revert to normal operating hours with immediate effect. The Curfew remains in force in other parts of Thailand and continues to run from 00.01 to 04.00. In Pattaya, the announcement was conveyed to business owners by the Chief of Banglamung District, Khun Sakchai, who is extremely happy that Pattaya can now declare “Business as Usual”!
