"The Last Cry of the Duduk" conveys the gripping and authentic transcription of conversations and events that took place between Turkish ministers and the American ambassador to Turkey during the First World War, during which the Armenian Genocide was carried out by the Ottoman Empire. For over three years, writer and director Andy Roman Dubon has traveled 8 countries to compile video footage, research and interviews with members of the Armenian diaspora in a passion-fueled effort to bring to greater light and understanding the effects of the atrocities committed on Armenians from past to present day. This project is an undertaking ignited by a fervent belief that our humanity is valuable only when we own the darkness of history as carefully as we do the light of its achievements.
