Baseball and softball tournament drawing held Coaches from around the Southeast District traveled to Jackson High School Sunday to seed the teams for the upcoming postseason tournaments. In baseball, Miami Trace (15-3) is a No. 1 seed. They will host the winner between New Lexington and McClain on Monday, May 12 at 5 p.m. Should the Panthers win that game, they would host the winner of the Logan Elm-Sheridan game on Thursday, May 15 at 5 p.m. The Washington Blue Lions (12-7-1) were voted the No. 2 seed. They will host Fairfield Union (No. 7 seed, 6-10) on Monday, May 12 at 5 p.m. Should they win that game, the Blue Lions would host the winner of the Circleville (No. 3 seed, 9-9) vs. Hillsboro (No. 6 seed, 8-11) game on Thursday, May 15 at 5 p.m. The Division II District tournament is once again at Ohio University in Athens, beginning Monday, May 19 with games at 5 and 7 p.m. In softball, Miami Trace (10-6) is a No. 4 seed. They will host Fairfield Union (No. 5, 6-6) on Wednesday, May 14. Should they win that game, Miami Trace would travel to most likely Logan Elm (No. 1 seed, 13-5) for a game on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. Logan Elm opens with a game against the No. 8 seed New Lexington (3-10). Washington is a No. 6 seed with a record of 6-16. They will open tournament play at Circleville (No. 3, 10-10) on Wednesday, May 14 at 5 p.m. Should the Lady Lions win that game, they will most likely have to travel to Sheridan to face the No. 2 seed (12-5) in a game on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. Sheridan hosts Hillsboro (No. 7 seed, 6-12) on May 14 at 5 p.m. McClain softball is in Division III. They were selected a No. 11 seed with a record of 2-11. They will play at Lynchburg-Clay (No. 6, 9-12) on Tuesday, May 13 at 5 p.m.
