May 8, 2014 is a milestone in the history of Basilan State College , when no less than the Regional Chairman / Managing Commissioner Dr. Norma M. Sharief, of the ARMM, CHED signed the Permit to offer the BSN Program beginning AY 2014-2015, after personally conducted an ocular inspection of the BSN facilities. Moreover the Commissioner impressed with the Nursing Licensure Examination performances of our student. It has been a dream fulfilled for the college. In her humble statement, Dr Sharief reiterates that the services which the institution can offer for the populace of Basilan. Her heart is filled with gratitude to ALLAH for the opportunity to be of help in the establishment of the BSN Course in the island province. Further, Dr. Nasser A. Salain, Al Haj. together the BaSC Administrative and Faculty Staff headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Jaime A. Pantaleta and the Dean, College of Health and Science, Mrs. Roxanna Siose were so grateful for this STEP. This a Leap!! To exhaust the possibility is synonymous with “No way but forward”. Today, we do not remember days; we remember moments, the anxious days for this realization but moment to be cherished.
