Beach Road News - (well sort of) Vasha and I tried it out... swimming at Douglas Beach. Heaven! no - really - it is an easy bike ride and way before the drawbridge. Perfectly acceptable sand, not rocky like Eastville. It is protected from the ravages of most storms by the breakwater so does not accumulate rocks but remains sandy. The slope is ideal for swimming - no breakers so you wont kill yourself. Great place to watch the sunsets if so inclined but gets morning sun also because it is on an isthmus and no buildings block the sunrise. Best views of the inner and outer harbor. WOW. What a great spot. Half a mile from Five Corners! And in other not really news, but a curious video of a boat salvage off the east coast of Bali using heavy equipment and successfully does so without damaging the (Dutch) vessel. Unlike a certain vessel on Beach Road... LOL (theres the connection) But the music is interestingly synced to the video pretty well and never heard anything quite like it...
