Bean is really getting the coordination I was hoping for in order - TopicsExpress

Bean is really getting the coordination I was hoping for in order to be helpful to her recovery. With swim, if the dog doesnt have the correct form it can be more debilitation than helpful in some cases. We have our routine. I plug in the pump and turn on the pool heater in the morning. I put Gabby in right away (she hates it too hot) 3x a week. I take her out than leave it running so that by nighttime the pool is warm enough for Beans liking. Now the trick will be to find out what time of day will. Be the perfect temperature to swim our new little guy Babdit. Those of you who havent seen yet, we took on a new Manchester terrier puppy who had one eye removed prior to rescue, has one closed ear canal and is having some pretty severe neurological issues causing his balance to be off, he finds himself spinning (which we must redirect instantly) and what it looks like to me is his depth perception is way off. As he walks he looks to be reaching for the ground he cant figure out how far away the water bowl is so he pecks at it like a bird. We can do many exercises to retrain the brain and swimming is one of them. He sees his neurologist on Tuesday. Hopefully we will get some answers as to what the exact problem Is and what we need to do moving forward with rehab:)
