Bear with me folks, this is going to be a long post... Last night, my wifes 84 year old grandmother was a victim of a home invasion around 11:30 on Dunham Court. First things first, she is fine. Currently she is at the hospital under evaluation. She suffered cuts, and we are not sure if it was from the intruders or the broken glass scattered through the house. They busted out most of the light fixtures, broke some irreplaceable items from her home country of France. When this happened, nothing else mattered to us other than her well being. The RCSO officers there were professional and courteous. No fingerprints were found at the scene, descriptions were of three males, at least two white. My thoughts are teens. This could have been so much worse, but also I have realized that the home also could have been protected better. And it will be. Please do your friendly admin a favor and check your home for signs of easy pickings. Also, check your friends and relatives homes as well. There are many things you can do passively that make you less of a target. What we personally will do from here about this situation will not be shared. Thank you for understanding.
