Bears QB Cutler: DeAngelo Hall another player When the Redskins - TopicsExpress

Bears QB Cutler: DeAngelo Hall another player When the Redskins faced the Bears in 2010, DeAngelo Hall picked off Jay Cutler four times in a 17-14 victory at Soldier Field. On Thursday, Cutler was in no mood to revisit that forgettable afternoon, four days before the teams meet against at FedEx Field. “Another player, you know?” Cutler said about facing Hall. Asked if he had any other thoughts on the rematch, Cutler said flatly, “Nope. So…” When the “another player” comment was relayed to Hall at Redskins Park, the veteran cornerback refused to get into a war of words with the Bears quarterback. But he did express confidence in his own abilities. “I am just another guy,” Hall said. “It’s not me versus Jay. It’s the Washington Redskins versus the Chicago Bears. They’re playing good football and we’re trying to get a win in our stadium, so definitely looking forward to that.” He added: “What kind of answer do want him to say? I don’t know what you want Jay to say, ‘Oh my god, I’m scare of this guy?’ I don’t know what you want him to say besides, hey, ‘He’s another guy.’ Whether he believes that in his heart or not, that’s what he had to say: ‘I’m another guy.’ He’s gone against some great corners in this league. I’m not probably the best guy he’s ever gone against.” Hall also said he doesn’t think there will be any “carry over” from his four interception performance three seasons ago. “Not for me,” he said. “I can’t go into the thinkings of Jay Cutler. But for me, personally, I feel good about the matchup. …He probably feels good with his guys going up against us, and we feel the same way. We feel like we can definitely make some plays against those guys. It will definitely be a tough challenge for us Sunday, but we definitely are looking forward to it.” Since the Hall’s career performance against Cutler – it tied the NFL record for picks in a game – Hall has recorded nine interceptions in 46 games. The 29-year-old is, however, playing some of his best football in recent memory right now, having returned a fumble and an interception for a touchdown this season. “It happened. It’s over,” Hall said of the teams’ last meeting. “A couple of years ago. He’s probably not thinking about that at all.”
