Because I am so curious about practically everything, today at the gym I saw this guy balancing on things (balls, and half balls and things). So, I interrupted him and asked him what he was doing and what it was good for. He gave me a half hour lecture, and then saved my life when I jumped in over my head ... he said, hey, start out slowly! (Management just hates cleaning up blood.) It seems that balancing works on more muscles than all the weights and weight machines combined, and burns more calories than the stair climbers, ellipticals, and treadmills. And its not easy, either. He showed me a few things to start with, and he added, if you want to heal those knees and protect them from future problems, then balancing exercises are the way to go. And again, he warned me to take it slowly. So, now Im online; gonna do some homework, and then go play some tennis.
