Because of the Ebola Virus Disease, many West Africans are ostracised especially abroad, even where they dont show any sign of any symptom of Ebola. It has become so bad that even at airports and in communities, especially in the US and in Europe, once it is established that you are from West Africa, no one wants to have anything to do with you. Sadly, Liberia is the hardest hit because they have the highest number of Ebola deaths in the current outbreak. Also, many of those who contracted the virus outside the initial 4 countries did so because a Liberian travelled into their country. As a result, Liberians have begun posting selfies where they hold up a notice saying I am a Liberian not a virus. These selfies are being reposted and shared through different social network sites online. Lets contribute. Lets add our voice by reposting or sharing the photos on our social network accounts
