Been getting my Halloween fix of scary movies playing whenever no one else is around... With Cori and Sydney at dance and Brian at rowing Ive finally been able to finish the Omen remake after a couple of earlier failed attempts (even I sleep sometimes!). Julia Stiles was way better than expected, this was actually a great remake. But the thing that will stick with me is just how creepy Mia Farrow was!!! Holy Crap! Ive always liked her as a decent actress capable of delivering a really solid performance on a super reliable basis. One of those in Hollywood you can count on to make a decent movie good... But she totally rocked the role of Mrs. Baylock! Im pretty sure she was thinking of Woody Allen (her ex) and Soon-Yi (her adopted daughter, Woodys now wife) when she played this role. It was THAT kind of anger and evil that dripped from her very essence from her first seen to her last! I think Rosemarys Baby (if there was a remake, Im talking the 60s or 70s original with Mia) has to be next after this performance! By the way, sorry Professor Mooney... Too bad you didnt have the Marauders Map to let you know that was coming!
