#BehindTheWeather #BTW I didnt get a chance to post last night due to the development of some freezing fog/mist late which caused a few problems... but here is an update on what could be our next CHANCE for accumulating snow. The latest long-range models... the GFS and the ECMWF... are still suggesting a storm in the area a week from today (around December 20th). Here is a look at the GFS track which shows a storm system moving just to the south of Ohio Friday night into Saturday next week. The track on the GFS would tend to give us a threat for snow. Now the European model (ECMWF) also has the storm, but has shifted the storm to the south which would keep most of the precipitation to our south. Since we are still a week away from this storm system, it is just not possible to know for sure what this storm will do or where it will track. But I know there are some of you hungry for snow and this appears to be our next best chance. If this one misses us, there may be another chance right around Christmas Eve, but that is way too far to know for certain. Either way, it looks like winter will return right after Christmas with arctic air flowing south again.
