Being an introvert... I often get students who come and tell me how distressed they are for they do not have too many friends. They say - their introvert nature would stop them from succeeding in life and in career... They also say - they wish they are like me - an extrovert... I laugh. People who really know me would call me a certified introvert. I do speak and interact, but am not very expressive, and do not open up easily. If I were to be truthful, right now, I know of only two people in the whole world with whom I am comfortable being what I truly am... Success is not a function of how many friends we have. And it surely is not denied to people who are introverts. Yes, we should learn the art of socializing - but life & time would teach us that... Lets make an attempt to open up. But lets not feel guilty if we do take more time... True friends - are what we need. Not necessarily many friends... And true friendship does not happen by partying, and chatting... it is just a connect that happens... If we have even a couple of true friends, we are blessed and we are on our way to success...
