Being angry is a decision, people can provoke you but you decide - TopicsExpress

Being angry is a decision, people can provoke you but you decide to be angry. Joy is also a decision we make and it is not related to what we feel and above all it is part of our Christian character. That is why Paul says rejoice in the Lord and I say rejoice, how we react to situations proves how how far we have developed our christian character. What we are full of will always manifest when we are under pressure, when you insert a heavy stone in a bucket full of water, the water will begin to spill over because that is what is filling the bucket. Now my advice to you is that stop wasting time working on other peoples lives and work on your self. This is an undeniable truth that every time you react in anger instead of being justified because of people who hurt you, you have just exhibited to the whole world that you still fall short of your christian character, i.e, self control, joy, peace, longsuffering(patience). Now people that provoke us and situations that seems adverse to us are just a test to find out how far we have developed this fruit of the Spirit( Galatians 5:22), and many times we have failed the test. God does not use untested material because tests reveal the quality of the product and you cant approve something that you have never tested.
