Being home alone is sometimes a blessing. Leisurely brunch fit for one, just the way you want it. Curling up in a toasty blanket, and forgetting your post-holiday troubles for a little while. Today, I made Itallian French Toast with a fruitcake. No one seems to like fruit cakes, so I snatch them up from relatives for bread pudding and toast. Yummm. Simple French Toast Need: 1-2 thick slices of good bread (i used itallian bourbon fruit cake) 2 eggs 3 tbs of milk (i used vanilla almond) How: - beat the eggs and milk in a bowl. If not using flavored milk, you can add in vanilla or another flavoring. Make sure the mixture gets frothy. :) - in a large bowl, dip the bread into the milk and egg mixture and let soak for ten seconds before flipping. - heat a large frying pan on low with 2tbs olive oil until you see ripples in the oil. Cook the toast until golden brown, and not moist. Serve with fruits and nuts if you like. :3 ♥
