Belinda Slone Mabry, age 44, of Morehead, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014. Born May 18, 1969, in Jenkins, she is a daughter of Billy Douglas Slone of Greenup and the late Linda Farmer Slone. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Don A. Mabry, Jr.; two sons, Andrew (Drew) Donovan Mabry and Chad Isaac Mabry, and two daughters, Hannah Celeste Mabry and Summer Danielle Mabry, all of Morehead; one brother, Brian Douglas Slone, and one sister, Barbara Horn, both of Greenup. Other survivors include extended family members and many beloved friends whom she also considered her family. Belinda was a math teacher and an academic team coach at Fleming County High School, where she often stayed late to tutor students. She was a Boyd County High School graduate, Class of 1987, and received a bachelor’s degree, with majors in French and Math Education, and a master’s degree from Morehead State University. Belinda’s generous nature impacted the lives of her family, students, and friends in so many ways. She will be lovingly remembered for her generous and caring spirit toward everyone. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Allan Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jeffrey Mabry, Shawn Mabry, Bevan Samuels, Johnny Belcher, Kyle Slone, Darren Slone, and Tyler Steele. Honorary pallbearers will be all current and former students who were always so very important to her.
