Big thanks to all those who joined me campaigning during the weekend just gone! Together we collected dozens of signatures for the #BackTheBill petition to stop the insidious privatisation of our NHS. Remember its not to late to sign it yourself, see:- unionstogether.org.uk/page/s/nhs After a mammoth team including council leader Julian Bell and several Young Labour activists gathered to speak to residents in Ealing Common on Saturday morning, I dashed over to a Teddy Bears Picnic to meet parents protesting the closure of the maternity unit at Ealing hospital. We were then treated to a visit from Seb Dance, recently elected Labour Member of the European Parliament for London and fond friend of Ealing Labour ever since he campaigned with us in Walpole. This time he joined us in East Acton. The action continued on Sunday with two teams out in Ealing Broadway and in the afternoon we were joined in Hanger Hill by Steve Pound MP, helping us for the second time in the weekend. If we maintain this momentum I am sure we will win but as you can see this is a people-powered campaign. More volunteers are always needed so please get in touch if youd like to experience the buzz of even just one campaigning session. There are lots of other ways to help too.
