Bill Ricks must have blocked me. My evil self suckered me into a divisive rant wrt Brown/Wilson and Martin/Zimmerman. Its a SIGN of how racial polarity has been stirred up by recent events. What is GOD up to? Maybe stirring up the froth on the surface of the Ocean so we can learn to seek a deeper level? I hope so. My issue in the racial divide is this: The White Man -- which I am one, if the racial categories have any meaning -- has a certain intellectual legal tradition. One can trace that tradition back ultimately to the Greeks and Romans with a dappling of Rabbinical Judaism sprinkling in. If one digs into Western history one also must concede that Islamic Justice has influenced the West implicitly if not explicitly acknowledged. This legal tradition has certain rules of evidence, judging based on law etc etc etc -- including a BIGGIE -- innocent until proven guilty. Officer Darren Wilson and neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman were not chargeable by that legal tradition. There was NO CASE against either. Zimmerman was indicted because of the GOP establishment in FL seeking to curry favor with the Black Community. It was a miscarriage of authentic White Tradition Justice for Zimmerman to have been taken to trial in the first place. It was a racial politics show trial -- not base on legal principles but on emotion based political pandering. If Officer Wilson had been indicted, it would have been a similar travesty of justice. Racism would have trumped color blind application of the Rule of Law. The Black Community is free to reject the White Mans Justice Tradition that is enshrined in the documents etc handed down by the White Man Founders. However, the Black Community cannot justly expect the White Community to give up their own heritage. Plenty of White People have chosen to trash their own heritage. That is their right as well. But if we are to have true justice and peace etc etc etc -- some consensus needs to be reached as to on what basis that peace and justice is to be sought: The Traditional White Mans justice which is based (Ideally and Theoretically but obviously not always in practice) on reason, law, evidence etc etc -- letting the chips fall where they may -- or something else. Is the rule of emotion to prevail as many are calling for. In recent history in the 20th century, emotion based mobocracy has resulted in some pretty gruesome results. Is this what folks want in America? The Presidents unilateral usurpation of Constitutional Authority in his executive orders has triggered mobocracy responses of support -- where folks have argued f**ck the Constitution -- we want what we want and we dont care about process. Ends justify the means. Hitler thought this way. Stalin pretended to follow the rule of law but in practice followed his own whimsy. And we know how things turned out under those guys if you were not in their favor. Same with all dictators. To recap: what is the basis for Progress? The Traditional American Foundations -- which have been mediated predominantly by the White Race but not excessively -- or something else? Some new paradigm not yet defined? See! Good reason for Bill Ricks and others to block me. I am obviously a rabid White Racist. I guess it goes with being descended from MS White Slave-holders. Joy! Joy! Joy! :)
