Bizi tehdit edir dığalar. ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement on the recent developments. As reports “Armenpress”, the statement runs as follows “During the last days the situation on the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani forces was sharply intensified. The Azerbaijani armed forces do not cease attempts of carrying out subversive acts and penetration into the positions of the Armenian forces. The positions of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic are subjected to fire from small arms and artillery: grenade launchers, mortars, anti-aircraft guns, and thermobaric grenades. The shelling of border settlements has become more frequent. The number of the sides’ losses is increasing day by day. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia announces that this way of actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces totally contradicts the spirit and logic of the negotiations aimed at the conflict’s regulation held within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and is pregnant with a real threat of turning into vast military activities. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia urges the Azerbaijani side to refrain from taking steps aimed at the further aggravation of the situation, and to make efforts to stabilize the situation on the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani forces. In case of continuation of the Azerbaijani side’s actions aimed at escalating the current situation, the Armenian Armed Forces will be forced to toughen sanctions against the militarily illogical and meaningless attempts of revenge of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
