Blessed Wednesday Morning. Getting ready to start my Thanksgiving cooking day. As I look back I think of the times when I was a little girl in the kitchen with my grandma as my mother was at work, watching her get prepared to start cooking not knowing she had really started preparing November the 1st. How she started buying all her groceries as she sang her gospel hymns and walk around the house praying and thanking God for her many blessings. The fact that we had a roof over our head and food in the pantry. Then as I grew older being in the kitchen with the both of them cooking together and laughing and trying recipes but always the few go to dishes. Now I so miss all of that but still want to teach my children the things my mom and grandma tried to teach me. Be strong, take care of your family and most of all Love The Lord because if you put Him first, everything else will fall into place. Through the years our family has made new memories, new traditions and as we sat down this year we will remember all the love we were given by those two special ladies who gave their all to make our lives better.
