Blizzard 78: Mark Sparks or Tosha Sparks Mark was 7 mo. old & we lived in the apartments right above mom. No power, no heat and no insulation in that building. My dad made it that old truck you once owned from Dehue to Wilkinson to get me & Mark. I came down those apt. stairs carrying my baby all wrapped up big as a 3 yr old with a bag & his diaper bag full of everything; clothes, baby milk, baby food, diapers, I hit a step & it was at my knee & got deeper I got us about 10 feet up above my knees when Dean & Dad came trowling out of that truck grabbing baby & all with Dean helping me move. By the time we got to the truck the snow was up to my butt but we had to climb over the plow dump that was up to my chest practically. My dad & brother saved our life that day because we later found out people died over that blizzard in many states. We went to Dehue & warmed up by a coal fireplace. Now thats Love!
