Bonjour, sunshine! I knew I was in for quite a show as soon as I exited our back gate. Pink sky, palm reflection in the pond, oh my! And then I ran into my friend Kyle + her pup Mango. We have the same stylist! I announced when I noticed her hoodie + workout capris which almost mirrored mine but for team name. Sorry, Kyle, but FSU is where its at. I got todays message from the shore before I landed on the sand. Its all about our own unique personal style + beauty...how we show up on the worlds runway...how we express ourselves + not only in what we wear but through what we say, feel, think, do, dont do...how we behave or not (teehee)...where we go, hang out + with whom...when were up or down. All that + more is your entire package. The why you are who you are is simple if you truly are you. Youre here to do + be THE amazing. And so you are. Your primary job is to know it + own it. Theres no one else like you. Whew. I mean that in a good way because that means no comparison...an apples + oranges kinda thing. Dont go there. Impossible. Every single person on the planet was blessed with something special, even a serial killer. Beneath the demented self is the true self, a spark of light, a speck of glitter, waiting to ignite. So WTF?! Free will, bébé. For a number of reasons some folks would rather set buildings on fire rather than fire up their internal spark. Pray for them as you choose happy over crappy. As I bundled up this morn, my only intention was to stay warm...clearly not to make a fashion statement. But as I donned each piece a story dawned on me that warmed my heart. The long-sleeved family name + LOL insider message tee gift from my brother David, the FSU hoodie that brought back a fun tailgating road trip to Tally with friends, the ballerina shoe sox I picked up in Paris, the Nike nylon sweats I scored at a fitness convention many moons ago, the wedge slingback not so ugly Crocs I discovered...all bits + pieces of my life at one time or another that carry energy from times past. Not just clothes. A story. Life can be more fun + on purpose when theres meaning assigned to even the most simple things. Going through your day with an intention to fully authentically genuinely express yourSELF...the real deal you...through everything + anything makes you more aware of how youre showing up. Pump up the volume on whats true, let go of what is not. Todays beach scene was a fashion show for sure...lots of movement, color, natural designs, all aglow. An angel strutted the skywalk, waves cheering her on. When the sea turned its attention on me, I ran up the trail runway to avoid a soak, which I did, barely. I now know that I can run in those Crocs, on soft sand no less. How you run your life is up to you. Express your amazing self fully wholly truly. Youre the only one who can be you. How exciting is that? Very! Now get out there + shine your light on the planet. For me, its time to swap sweats for some sparkly something.
