#Bonus_teaching_on_marriage Communication is very vital in either relationship or marriage.Communication in marriage is complete when a couple can handle three principles consistently: 1. When they can effectively utilize the fundamentals involved in speaking and listening 2. When they can resolve conflicts through constructive methods 3. When they spend time on a daily basis in an intimate sharing of feelings. Frequently we think we understand what our mates are saying,but what we hear is not what is meant. We want the other person not only to listen to what we have to say but also to understand. FIVE LEVELS OF COMMUNICATION: e. SMALL TALK.at this level shallow conversation takes place,such as, how are you? what have you been doing how are things going,such conversation borders on the meaningless but it can sometimes be better than embarrased silence. When it remains on this level,it is boring and leads to frustration and resentment in marriage or relationship. d. FACTUAL CONVERSATION.Here information is shared,but there are no personal comments along with it. E.g a wife may observe her husband leaving the house after dinner and ask where are you going? And he give a factual answer out....men are more apt to settle for this level than women,as they are often less able to express their feelings. c.IDEAS & OPINIONS. Real intimacy begins here,for you risk exposing your own thoughts,feelings & opinions. Because you feel free to express yourself and verbalise personal ideas,your partner has a better chance to know you intimately. b. FEELINGS & EMOTIONS. It describes what is going on inside you-how you feel about your partner or a situation.You verbalise feelings of frustration,anger,resentment or happiness. If you honestly share with your partner in a give-and-take manner,you enrich and enlarge your relationship. You feel worthy,noticed,loved,appreciated and safe. a. DEEP INSIGHT. Rare insightful moments will occur when you are perfectly in tune with another in understanding,depth and emotion satisfaction
