Bowral Rugby Union Seniors and Colts kick off the 2015 season with training this Thursday the 29th of January at 6PM on Eridge Park, Moss Vale Rd, Burradoo. 2015 promises to be a very exciting season with a number of events locked in. The NSW Country Championships come to Bowral in June. In addition the Shute Shield feature match between Sydney Uni and Eastern Suburbs is on the 28th of March at Eridge Park. Gordon and Queanbeyan will play at Bowral in late February for pre-season trial matches. Currently there are exciting renovations to the clubhouse which will set the venue up as modern and state of the art. Club Coach Paul Frean has been appointed to set up a coach and player development programme which will lift the level of coaching and individual player skills. Frean will work in tandem with ARU development officers to facilitate the development of significant local talent. There are already a number of juniors who are on the radar with the ARU for future representative honours. The focus is to now expand this player development focus through to the Colts and Seniors. Bowral has become a key growth area for rugby in NSW with the recent successes in the Southern Highlands Sevens, the Country Championsips and other Shute Shield matches coming to Bowral. All players (returning and new) are welcome to attend training at Eridge Park this Thursday for a light session followed by a barbecue and refreshments. If you have any enquiries please call Paul Frean on 0404 071 370 or Mark Freund on 0424 565 325.
