When two sides used to having their way gives a little, it produces a lot! We felt encouraged about the direction things were going in and it was a good feeling. Maybe too good (to be true). There was a collective agreement to keep things behind the doors. One side innocently goes public saying the deal was done, when all the other side said was essentially that they were happy with the direction of talks. Being happy about the progress made isnt the same as saying theyre done talking. [Team Mayweather] NEVER SAID ANYTHING was totally done. They were pleased (with the progress), but not done, which was obvious by the addendum discussed that day prior. The move came across as a motive aimed at getting them (Team Mayweather) to settle for that current position of the negotiation, rather than allowing them to continue to negotiate to their desired position. Not to say Arum meant it that way, (because I dont really think they did), but you just dont do that to an ego like Mayweather in a situation so fragile like this. Pacquiao went from saying we expect to make an announcement soon, to saying we gave him a deadline, all within a matter of one or two days. Arum made similar comments first. Mayweather being the diva he is probably took that as a motive aimed at leveraging the court of public opinion, forcing them to take a deal as is that they didnt agree to as is. That just pretty much brought back all those old feelings of distrust and dishonesty, and to be honest, has completely complicated this process, because now were seeing some of that same ole bitterness resurface. After hearing that earful, I reached out to a closer source, and took things a step further by asking WILL THE WORLD GET THE FIGHT THEY WANT BETWEEN FLOYD MAYWEATHER AND MANNY PACQUIAO? The response was epic: Pacquiao wants this fight. But you have a man [who is] blindly led by whatever hes told, because hes literally never part of the discussion. Hes only included in the aftermath. Team Mayweather aint looking to blame him, because its clear. Does Floyd Mayweather want the fight? Let me say this....you see how Pacquiao has this movie premiere? Well, they can do that now because his story is complete. You know why you havent seen a story or anything like that on Mayweather? Because the world knows he got one last chapter to write....and I can tell you, hes eager to write it Top Rank talking deadlines. Mayweather is thinking Pacquiao.....by any and all means necessary. Hes still trying, and they plan to continue. If they (Top Rank) walk away, the world cant blame Mayweather....but they will. But I aint worried though. The networks will finish their business. And as difficult as it is, the fighters will get it done too. I really believe that. (In closing, I just want to say that there are FAR MORE layers to this than i ever knew. Hopefully these two people are right, and well soon get a fight)!
