Brenda Battat has returned to the USA after spending two weeks in the UK with Hearing Link. Brenda retired as executive director of the Hearing Loss Association of America last summer after spending 25 years with the influential charity. During those two decades, Brenda worked in a variety of roles with the goal of reducing the stigma around hearing loss in the USA and raising public awareness. Brenda was one of the keynote speakers at the international hearing loop conference organised by Hearing Link in October last year. During her two week visit, Brenda has learned more about our organisation and has shared her HLAA experiences. We are privileged and fortunate to have had this extended time with her and wish her a safe journey home. An interview with Brenda will be published in Hearing Link Matters magazine in March.
