Brendan Rodgers will offload Pepe Reina to Napoli to get the Spaniard’s £5.5million annual salary off the wage bill. With Liverpool having shelled out £9m on Simon Mignolet from Sunderland, Reina’s eight-year spell as Anfield No.1 is over and the club are keen to cut their losses on the Spain goalkeeper Reina’s loan move to the Serie A club, which will reunite him with former Kop boss Rafa Benitez, is expected to go through in the next 24 hours. Liverpool are unwilling to pay Reina £110,000 a week to warm the bench.
