Brilliantly, honestly and passionately spoken. There are scores of thuggish police officers as well as scores of thuggish preachers, but we mustnt throw the baby out with the bath water, so to speak. Police, politeness, policy and politic all come from the word polis, which refers to a city (metropolis), citizen or citizenry, like cosmopolitan, etc. We need law enforcement officers who are honest, earnest and reliable. Not ego or ethnic driven, but ethics driven with character, integrity and respect for human beings being human. There are many great police officers out there risking their lives daily to protect and save and are of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. This Milwaukee Police Chiefs words should be headline news and thus I am sharing this on my timeline. People often hate police officers until they need them, same with honest and loving ministers.
