Consider taking the below actions and watch the video available in the link below to prepare yourself and your property for a potential bushfire emergency. #GetReadyQld - Clear space and undergrowth from around buildings, particularly long grass. - Ensure your property has cleared access for fire trucks. - Remove fire hazards, including accelerants like rubbish or garden waste. - Fill in gaps around windows and door frames. - Keep flammable materials and fuels way from your house. - Clean your gutters. - Consider if you need to slash or burn growth on your property. Contact your local Fire Warden if you plan on lighting a fire. -Consider if you need to construct fire breaks to provide a protective buffer for properties that back on to bushland.
