By courtesy of S Wayne Canapp, heres William Conrad Pollas Clover Gardens Orchestra performing Too Tired (https://youtube/watch?v=B-ky2nr5uOI), which he cut on November 15 from 1924 in the Edison recording studio located at the 79 Fifth Avenue & it went issued on Edison Diamond Disc 51440 & Edison Blue Amberol cylinder 4949. I remember when i first listened to Pollas version of Too Tired, i thought that the banjoist was Mike Danzi & the trumpeter was Wilbur Wib Kurz, but in fact, Danzi sailed to Germany as member of the Alex Hyde band that recorded on 1925 for Grammophon & Kurz was working with Ken(neth) Caseys group at the time this side was made. Pollas group merged with Jack Lintons Cadets, whose personnel i dont know, but its known to have been used on thesessions made between January 15 from 1925 & August 10 from 1925 (the latter was Pollas first recording session for Harmony & although credited previously on Rusts American Dance Band Discography as being by Ben Selvin, however, recent inspection of the file card for that session confirmed that the band used for that session & the November 5 from 1925 session (also credited to Selvin) was in fact Pollas Orchestra & its also confirmed by Richard Johnson & Bernard Shirleys American Dance Bands on Record & Film). Neverthless, enjoy this side!
