Former minister of aviation Mr Femi Fani-Kayode has described the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan as one that has made the country drift into political, social and economic confusion. There is need for him to relinquish power to a competent person in 2015, he stated. Fani-Kayode stated this during an interview with journalists in Dutse, Jigawa State. According to him, instead of President Jonathan to work in promoting justice, unity, peace and progress of the country, he has turned to be an agent of disunity, supporting corruption, and other sorts of treason and sabotage to the existence of the country as a single entity. He further stated that his consultation has no political party barrier as he was just looking for the good people of Nigeria who care about its future to joins hands in order to remove Jonathan from power in 2015 before he disintegrates the country. He expressed dismay that the police were sent to disrupt the G-7 governors’ meeting, describing the action as an insult to democracy and an embarrassment to the country. He said, “It is utterly unfortunate if people like Governor Sule Lamido, who is well respected as one of the country’s icons of democracy for being one of the few people who sacrificed their lives for the return of democracy in 1999, can be treated in this way by the power desperadoes; then the system is very alarming. “PDP was established to unite and promote democracy and good governance. Unfortunately, some opportunists in the party are now abusing the system and spoiling its philosophy while the true members of the party led by Baraje are denied the party ownership.” The former minister called upon all good people of Nigeria to open their eyes and vote for a competent person who can bail out the country from its current socio-political quagmire in 2015 as the incumbent leadership has failed the country. - nation. - Hope For Nigeria .
