*CALL TO ACTION* The NSA Bill (No.1) 2014 is before Parliament now. Labor is supporting it as well. ASIO/DFAT/Attorney generals department / AFP / NSW Police all want it - the entire unelected security bureaucracy. It gives them total power in total secrecy with immunity from prosecution. In other words: absolute power for secret police. Link to Bill at bottom. vice/read/australias-national-security-ammendment-bill-is-heavy-reading WHAT CAN YOU DO? 1) Ring a radio talkback station - google the number and get on air and complain! 2) Ring your local newspaper 3) Ring a TV station 4) Ring your local Member of Parliament - google their number, all contact details on the web. ASK if theyve read the legislation - and complain if they havent. They shouldnt be voting in legislation they havent read. 5) If they are in a union, ring their union member and ask them to email around and tell people. Ask their union to withdraw support from Labor if those Labor members are passing legislation they havent read and are not acting like a proper opposition!
