CALLING ALL BOATERS! FOR THE RIVER! FOR FUN AND FOR HISTORY! On Sunday September 22, 2013 muster at the Ossining waterfront at 11 AM , BE A BOATING PARTICIPANT or to attend Ossingin Bicentennial shoreline festivities and cheer as the First Annual Washington-Rochambeau Regatta departs from the Ossining shoreline, led by the Sloop Clearwater. The event honors Congressman Maurice Hinchey for his spectacular leadership on behalf of the Hudson River Valley, and inaugurates “The Hinchey Cup” and “Heroes of the Hudson Awards”. The Regatta celebrates French aid to America during the Revolution and commemorates the crossing of the Hudson by French and American troops on their 600+ mile march to victory at Yorktown, Virginia; the decisive battle of the Revolution. This Hudson River Ramble Event is sponsored by: The National Park Service, W3R-US, Hudson Rising, Hudson River Boat and Yacht Club Association; Pannone, Lopes Deveroux and West, LLC.; Historic Hudson River Towns; The Town and Village of Ossining; and The Town and Village of Haverstraw.
