CAMBRIDGE UNITED PRE SEASON POEM AUGUST 4TH 2014 Starting at the back Between the sticks is number 1 Hes new to us this season And his name is Mr Dunn Moving onto number 2 We have Mr Richard Tait His position is at right back The defence he does dictate Number 3 is Mr Taylor And his 1st name is Greg Hes rather tall and handsome And he kicks with his left leg. Josh Coulson is the next He dons the number 4 He clears his lines with ease And with his headers he can score. Tom Bonner is number 5 A tall central defender And when the ball lands at his feet He returns it back to sender. Ian Millers number 6 His team mates call him Dusty Hes in recovery at the moment So hes feeling a little rusty. Mr Ryan Donaldson He plays at number 7 His dead ball free kicks are awesome Youd think they were sent from heaven Tom Champion is number 8 The midfield he does boss His tackles are 1st class And he has a tasty cross. Number 9 is Adam Mr Cunnington to you Hes not bad upfront And can score a goal or two. Tommy Elliott is number 10 He is tall and he is quick I know hes got it in him To score a neat hat trick. At number 11 is Harrison Dunk He really is an ace And all of the opposition Struggle to live with his pace. Number 13 is Will Norris Another keeper for our team Last season played at Wembley Must have been his boyhood dream. 14 we now have Johnny Hunt He plays out on the wing Hes another newbie this year Am excited to see what hell bring. A familiar face returns to us Our old friend Robbie Simpson Number 15 is on his shirt this time A high flyer for this season? No changes for number 16 Mr Austin - or call him Mitch Hell show us his magic Running up and down the pitch. 17 is Liam Hughes A tall player with a big heart I bet some days he never knows In which position he will start Delano Sam-Yorke is number 19 Hes built just like an ox You should see his fancy footwork As he dances in the box. On loan from Crystal Palace We have Kwesi, hes quite handsome And were not going to give him back Until theyve paid a hefty ransom. A special man called Luke Chadwick Wears the shirt number 22 And if you were to cut him in half It would read United through and through. 26 and 27 Liam Hurst and B J Taylor Theyre up and coming youngsters We know that they wont fail yer.
