CARTHAGE-AREA METH BUST ANNOUNCED Hancock County – Last evening shortly before 8 p.m. the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad served a search warrant at 8744 E. CR 500 South, just west of Carthage in Hancock County, as part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacture of Methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation and warrant a Carthage man was arrested on four felony charges. Arrested was Dennie W. Norfleet, age 53, charged with Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Level 5 Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony and Possession of Precursors, a Level 6 Felony. Norfleet was lodged in the Hancock County Jail. The Meth Suppression Troopers were assisted in their investigation by the Hancock County Prosecutors Office and Shirley Police Department K-9 Officer Brian Pryor along with his partner Huron. The Indiana Meth Investigation System or IMIS, can also take tips on meth labs. Just go to meth.in.gov and click on the “Report Suspected Meth Activity” Link. Tips can be made and kept anonymous. All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
