Salon By Martha Rosenberg - This month, the Center for Food Safety (CFS) and Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) have sued the FDA for withholding records pertaining to ractopamine’s safety. According to the lawsuit, in response to the groups’ requests for information “documenting, analyzing, or otherwise discussing the physiological, psychological, and/or behavioral effects” of ractopamine, the FDA has only produced 464 pages out of 100,000 pages that exist. Read More >>> Take Action >>> October 31, 2013 CFSs Cool Foods Campaign Wins Judges Choice Award in Round One of MIT Competition, Competing for $10,000 Grand Prize Center for Food Safety Press Release Center for Food Safety’s “Cool Foods” Campaign has received the Judges Choice Award for “Reducing consumption” in the 2012-2013 MIT Climate CoLab contest. Out of 400 submissions, Center for Food Safety (CFS) was one of 28 first round winners. CFS is now competing for a $10,000 grand prize to make the campaign proposal a reality.
