CHILD CARE According to a piece in the Independent researched by Labout child care costs have risen by a third since the coalition coming to power.Treasury fugures show that a British family spends an average of ££5,487.04 a year for a part time nursery for a child aged two and over which is £1,298.46 more than in 2010. On top of this the average family has lost out on £584.70 in childcare taxcredits since 2010 because of changes to the system, meaning a loss of £1847.16 per year. Because the new tax break will meet 20 percent of a families cost the typical family will be paying£749.75 more on childcare now than they did in 2010.
