CHILUBAS £28m HOAX There is a growing tendency to copy and paste stuff off online media without verification or benefit of doubt and based on it opinions are expressed almost as if its the truth. This makes unsuspecting people victims of a dangerous vice of unwarranted vilification and unnecessary trauma all in the interest of promoting hate even for the DEAD. The Finish government has rubbished an online media report suggesting that its organisation called Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) has blocked 28 million British Pounds purportedly belonging to Regina Chiluba, widow of second republican president Frederick Chiluba which she wanted to invest in real estate. An online media publication yesterday published a report purporting that the Finland’s Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) had blocked a suspicious 28 million British Pound belonging to Mrs Chiluba. Finland has stated that FIN-FSA had no authority to make such an order as its Financial Intelligence Unit was the only competent authority to give orders to refrain individual from conducting financial transactions. A communication officer from FIN-FSA Raakel Heikkinen said the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) was the only competent authority to give orders to refrain individuals from conducting transactions. And former second republican president Frederick Chiluba spokesperson Emmanuel Mwamba has described as a fabrication story published on some online media publication alleging that Finland’s Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) has blocked a suspicious 28 million British Pound belonging to Mrs Chiluba. Mr Mwamba said that he has spoken to Mrs Chiluba and that the widow had expressed total ignorance about the purported seized 28 million British Pounds. Mr Mwamba said the fabricated story was fashioned to confirm standing unproven allegations against Dr Chiluba’s previous corruption cases. “I have just spoken to Mrs. Regina Chiluba. She has expressed shock at the fabrication and lies expressed in a story published by an online newspaper. A false Report has emerged that £28million has been seized in United Kingdom and Finland,” he said. “Mrs. Regina Chiluba has emphatically stated that she has not been involved or as she was involved in any transaction activity as stated in the false Report. I asked Mrs. Regina Chiluba to issue a statement but sadly declined to do so stating that ‘I don’t want to dignify falsehood with a response, especially that I don’t know the motive of such a report’,” Mr Mwamba said. Meanwhile, a family member said the false report was designed to propagate hatred against the former head of state even in his death, The family member who did not want to be named has rubbished the report describing it as a fabrication fashioned to continue propagating hate and slander against Dr Chiluba even in his death. The family member said the false report could have been allegedly been concocted by some of Dr Chiluba’s children who are said to have declared war against Mrs Chiluba whom they intended to scandalize as having inherited the former president’s wealth. The family member told the Daily Nation that Mrs Chiluba’s enemies that may include the children of the late president could have been behind the concocted story that Finland’s Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) had blocked 28 million British Pounds allegedly belonging to widow. She said it was culturally and morally incorrect for people to continue demonizing and scandalizing Dr Chiluba even in his grave and appealed to the people that hated the former president to allow him to rest in peace. “Mrs Chiluba has no idea what people are talking about and we think that the story is meant to continue spewing hatred and ridicule against the second republican president. We also suspect that the story may have been concocted by Dr Chiluba’s children who wrongly feel that the widow had inherited a lot of wealth after the death of Dr Chiluba. This as a family is neither here nor there. You cannot continue demonizing Dr Chiluba who has been dead for almost four years. It is being uncultured and morally incorrect to continue propagating hatred against a dead man,” the family member said. The report said while former president Frederick Chiluba left only one Rolex wristwatch, clothes and about $1.2 million, the facts have now emerged that his window, Regina Mwanza, has tens of millions of Pound sterling stashed in a United Kingdom (UK) bank.
