CMPD: Dog shot at after biting officers foot CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A dog was shot at after officers came to arrest a man on Allen Street, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Officers said the dog, a pit bull, got loose and tried to attack the police officers. One officer said the dog bit his foot. His partner saw the dog attacking and fired his gun.
