CONDEMNATION OF THE IRANIAN ACTRESS LEILA KHATAMI IS ABOUT SOMETHING THE FAITH NEVER SAYS - The Iranian actress Leila Khatami’s kissing the organizer of the Cannes Film Festival on the cheek caused a huge outcry in Iran. Reports say that a group known as Students of Hezbollah, closely linked to the Revolutionary Guards in Iran, have gone to court to demand that Khatami be whipped for violating the laws of Islam. Khatami said that the situation is embarrassing, and that the person concerned was like a grandfather in her eyes and the host at the festivities. Adnan Oktar: The Iranian deputy minister of culture said that Iranian women are a symbol of honor and virtue and that Khatami’s action was incompatible with religious belief. My brother, honor and virtue are religion. It is dishonorable to do something that the faith does not say. If you say that God says something that He does not, then you are adding things on to the faith, and that makes you dishonorable, so you lose your honor. If they do it out of ignorance, that is different, and I have nothing to say against them. But it is wrong to do that deliberately and knowingly. The faith is honor. They will lose their faith and their honor. Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktars Live Conversation on A9TV dated May 24th, 2014
