CONFIDENCE THROUGH CHRIST HILLSIDE HELPS- “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Ph. 4:13) Two words describe our lives on a day by day basis: “ever changing”. Almost daily we face new challenges which require us to change or adapt. We have a number of choices we can make when our circumstance or situation suddenly changes. We can gripe and complain. We can fuzz and fight. We can get discouraged and defeated. The right decision is to believe that God loves us and will give us the strength required to make these necessary changes. The Apostle Paul had times of plenty and times of little. He had learned to be content in every up and down in his life. He gives us a quick look at the key to his constant contentment. No matter what came up in his life, He trusted Christ, who had brought him to the circumstance. He would continue trusting Christ throughout the duration. He did not stop with only two words: I can. Instead, He said I can through ….Christ”. As children we were taught to say: “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” This verse reminds us to say: “I know He will give me His strength to do whatever He wills. As believers, we have the assurance that with the strength Jesus provides we can “do all things”. The Christian must learn that much of our failure comes when we try to solve our own dilemmas ahead of God’s timing. Christ is here for us in the person of the Holy Spirit. We must call on Him and trust Him to lead in the adjustments needed. Today there may be sudden changes in your life. These changes require a heart of faith and a constant commitment to do God’s will. In seasons of change, God makes it possible for us to demonstrate a very positive witness. People watch our actions and reactions in times when our ever changing circumstances require us to make unexpected adjustments. I encourage you to keep trusting Jesus. We cant make it alone, but we will make it with His help and strength. Keep following Christ. As we are forced to adjust, refuse to compromise your Christian witness. Let your “light” keep shining as others observe the way we respond. (Bro Jerry McNeer) PLEASE SHARE
