CONGRATULATIONS to 4 year Sports Worx 24 member,Mediapolis Highschool Senior, Drew Massner,61,220lbs.Drew went for a football visit @ William Penn University(11th ranked NAIA College in Nation 2014 and 6th 2013) and instead of a football program tour he had to unexpectedly perform in a Combine(physical tests). Highlights of the combine/visit for Drew a Linebacker/Defensive end prospect: out benched EVERYBODY there including 250lb.+ D Line & 275lb.+ O Line. Drew did 19 full reps @ 225 lbs(must touch chest) just missing he 20th rep.(2nd place was 16 reps done by a 270 pound high school senior from Oklahoma). He also ran a 1.63 10 yards which was in the top 7 of the entire combine and was the ONLY athlete over 185lbs. to run this quickly. Ironically Drew was caught totally off guard and though doing a lot of explosive lifts jumps and plyos wed dropped the sprinting aspects of training-as planned-for 7 weeks previous to this. Was not tuned up for sprinting. The Bench was judged by William Penn strength coaching staff and the 10 yards was timed, of course, by William Penn staff. Along with William Penn being a nationally top ranked NAIA school it is where Damon Harrison played for 4 years. Damon Harrison STARTS for he NEW YORK JETS (Nose Guard).Had 55 tackle this season and 66 tackles last season.William Penn is a strong football program. Drew was offered maximum full amount of scholarship allowed by the school. Watch for updates on Drews progress.
