Cadaver lab findings today. In our cadaver dissection lab workshop - TopicsExpress

Cadaver lab findings today. In our cadaver dissection lab workshop today, we dissected a number of fascinating structures. Two were the phrenic nerve (C3, 4, 5 keeps the diaphragm alive) sitting on the anterior scalene, and the vagus nerve running along the carotid artery. There was also a cadaver with an abdominal aneurism that was the size of a baseball. Two interesting anomalies: a pectoralis minor that had an additional slip of tissue that went to the serratus anterior and an additional head to the splenius cervicis that was superficial to the serratus posterior superior and never even made it to the spine. Fascinating! - Joe Muscolino
