Caleb is out of surgery! 3 hours and 45 minutes. Dr. Jonas came out to talk with us just a few moments ago. Surgery went as close to textbook as possible. Now we have to watch for excessive bleeding or blood clots both are a risk and the next 24 hours will be the most critical. Caleb will be in the CICU for the next few days. We should be able to go back to see him in about 2 hours. He will remain on the ventilator for at least 12 hours up to a day, maybe 2 depending on how he does when they test breathing on his own.
