Calling all teachers, educators, and students! The end of the school year is in sight – only a few more weeks of classes and exams before most schools wrap up for the summer holidays. Why not add some excitement to the end of the year? Central Asia Institute is launching its first contest as part of the #GlobalChalkCampaign. Chalk in the Schools is a contest to challenge students, teachers, and educators to creatively respond to the campaign. The premise is simple. We will be collecting submissions from schools around the world, and evaluating the responses based on creativity. The school that comes up with the most creative way to display its images wins. TO PARTICIPATE: Please send submissions to us at [email protected] or post them on the campaign page at facebook/globalchalkcampaign. There are four rules: Each school must (1) answer the campaign’s central question: Why should education be a right for every child, rather than a privilege?; (2) involve students and teachers; (3) write the answers on chalkboards, paper, or iPads; and (4) photograph the easy-to-read answers. We want you to think outside of the box, and display your answers creatively! We will accept submissions until May 31, 2014, and plan to announce the winners the following week. The winning school and its answers will be highlighted and celebrated on our social media pages, blog, and website (ikat.org). We are excited to see what you come up with!
