Came across some old pictures yesterday that have been stashed away for a long long time. These are from the days I ran the Explorer II from Belmont Pier in the late 80s. On this particular trip we were going to Cortez Bank and when we got there conditions took a dump with a steep dive in water temp. We never even dropped anchor and High Tailed it back to Tanner Bank noticing good conditions there on the way out. As I swung the boat around to anchor the boat on the first spot the guys were yelling Hook Up before I got the anchor down. I thought they were messing with me but it was real. 4-5 Fish going and huge BFT and Yellowtail crashing all through the circle. Pictured here are some very dear old friends such as David Ichinaga whos not with us now. I think Ed Drechsler aka Edward D is in there too. Help me out and name a few others you recognize. Some are obvious but a few I dont remember their names, just the faces. Great Memories ...
