Can You Spare a Few Hours To Help on Saturday? The main focus of the Adopt A Native Elder Program is to provide Elders with food that is delivered semi-annually on food runs. Many Traditional Elders live in remote portions of the Navajo reservation. The Rainbow Food Boxes supply much-needed food for over 500 Elders. The next big step in preparing for the food runs is packing the Rainbow Food Boxes. It takes a large crew to accomplish this job. On average, we pack 500 boxes on each of the two Saturdays. Who’s Needed: YOU : ) Bring a friend, spouse and/or family What: Doing lots of good (packing Rainbow Food Boxes—very, very easy and fun!) When: Saturdays, August 2nd and August 9th (One or both) 8am until 12pm (Or even a couple of hours if that’s what you can spare). Where: Adopt A Native Elder Warehouse 328 West Gregson Ave. (between 3100 S. and 3200 S.) Salt Lake City Why: Because you are an awesome person who does good things. PLUS, there will be doughnuts! Thank you so very much for your support. You DO make a an important difference in the lives of the Elders.
