Can a Woman Delay Ghusl after Period Ends I heard at a lecture - TopicsExpress

Can a Woman Delay Ghusl after Period Ends I heard at a lecture that a woman can delay making ghusl after her periods ends until she gets home, if she is at work or school. Is this true, and if so what is the evidence? For example, a woman’s period ends at dhur time, but she will not return home from work until isha time. Can she wait until she gets home, or should she do something like go to a near by hotel, make ghusl, and then pray? All praise be to Allah and may His blessings and peace be on His last messenger, Muhammad, I think that in some cases the degree of hardship encountered by asking her to leave work may be such that jam’ or combining the prayers would be permitted. It remains to be said that she may only combine those prayers that could be combined, such as dhuhr with asr. In other words, she may defer dhuhr to asr time, and when she goes home, she can pray them together. It is not permissible though to defer either dhuhr or asr after maghrib. In such case, she will need to find a way to make ghusl and pray. This last scenario is expected to be rather very rare. Therefore, she may excuse herself from work and go home. Allah knows best.
